Meet the Amarillo Business Women Board for 2020-2021

The Amarillo Business Women board members serve on a voluntary three year maximum term. The board makes up a variety of different industries and talents that come together to lead a professional group of women in the workforce. They are also active members of our community and serve in many different leadership roles. 

Caylar Harper, President and Membership Chair

Caylar grew up in Vega, Texas where her passion for service and leadership started at a very early age. She interned with the Court Appointed Special Advocates of the South Plains while obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree at Texas Tech University majoring in Public Relations. After graduation, she moved to Amarillo, Texas to work as a Donor Engagement Manager for Cal Farley's. Caylar started her current position with St. Andrew's Episcopal School as the Director of Institutional Advancement in October 2017. 


She is an active member of her community serving on the Executive Board for Junior League of Amarillo, Scholarship Committee for Los Barrios, and Education Community Impact Council for United Way. She is a member of the Texas Plains Association of Fundraising Professionals and is certified as an International Advancement Professional. Caylar is currently in the process of obtaining her Master's in Business Administration and pursuing certification as a Certified Fundraising Professional (CFRE). She has been a member of Amarillo Business Women since 2016 serving as Membership Chair and now President.

Brittny Lee, Vice President

Brittny Lee is a 2014 graduate of West Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor in Science with a degree in Mass Communications emphasizing in advertising and public relations. She currently serves as the WT Enterprise Center program manager where she plans and implements new programs, training and events for the entrepreneur community.


Brittny is a member of InBIA where she earned her Business Incubation Management Certification, is currently the Special Events Chairman for the Amarillo Business Women, serves on the Executive Leadership Team for March of Dimes and is a graduate of Leadership Amarillo & Canyon.


Lisa Wilson, Secretary

Lisa was born and raised in Amarillo, but has lived in Canyon, Texas for the last 22 years. She graduated with honors from Amarillo High School, and graduated Cum Laude from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance.  Lisa has worked in the banking industry for about 28 years performing various job duties throughout the bank from proof operator to bank manager. She is currently the Assistant Vice President of Amarillo National Bank and has worked as the Assistant Oil & Gas Manager for the last 12 years. Lisa volunteers with Junior Achievement, teaching students about financial planning, and has volunteered as a driver with Meals on Wheels of Amarillo for over 12 years. She is married to her husband, Jessie, and they will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in 2018. They have one son, John. Lisa is a devout Christian and attends church at the First Baptist Church of Canyon. She loves crafts, reading, watching movies (Sci-fi and romantic comedies mostly), attending professional baseball games (Texas Rangers is her fave, but her goal is to visit all the baseball parks throughout the U.S & Canada) and playing at amusement parks (she has season passes to Six Flags & would have Disney passes too, if it were closer). 

Claire Ekas, Publicity and Marketing

Claire Ekas is a graphic designer and artist living and working in Amarillo, TX. She was born and raised in Amarillo. She attended Amarillo College from 2015-2019 where she received an A.A.S. in Graphic Design as well as a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and a Certificate in Marketable Skills. While at AC she worked on staff in the Student Media Department where she held various positions for The Ranger including Design Manager, Page Editor, and Graphic Designer. She worked as the Assistant Editor for two editions of The Current and as the Editor-in-Chief and Art Director for one edition of The Current. Both publications have received various local, district, and nationwide awards including Best of Show ADDY for The Current Spring 2017, two Pacemaker Awards for The Current Spring 2017 and The Current Spring 2018, First Place Pinnacle Award for The Current Spring 2017, and a Tenth District Silver ADDY for The Current Spring 2017. She is currently attending West Texas A&M University and is expected to graduate in May of 2021 with a B.F.A in Studio Art. While attending WT, she currently works as the Institutional Advancement Assistant at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Amarillo, TX.

Angie Grimm, Scholarship Chair

Angie is a College Funding Specialist with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska. She is the principle advisor of College Solutions LLC. Angie works with students to make an informed educational decision to pursue their educational goal. She also assists parents in setting up a solid financial plan with no unnecessary risk to meet the upcoming expense of college for their student. Angie has researched and developed an extensive knowledge about the college financial aid system, benefiting clients with advice and strategies that most parents don’t think about or have access to when saving for and paying for college.

Angie has worked with students and families for over 10 years in maximizing the college admission and financial aid process.

She resides in Amarillo with her husband, Mike and their 2 children. 

Ruby Moreno, Nonprofit Chair

Ruby Moreno was raised in Elkhart, Kansas, but originally from Chihuahua, Mexico. She completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from West Texas A&M University in 2016. While attending college, she was the Management Intern at the Hispanic Chamber. Ruby then became the Executive Director. She has been a part of the Amarillo Hispanic Chamber of Commerce team for 4 years. Being involved and serving the community is truly important to Ruby. She currently serves on the Elevate Amarillo Executive Board as Secretary. Outside of work, Ruby enjoys drinking coffee, traveling, horseback riding and spending time with her family.
